Your Role

As a Gensler’s Interior Designer, you will tap into your boundless creativity and passion for design to produce unique and functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You are a self-motivated, team player who is ready for active participation in all phases of the design process. With you as part of the design team, interiors have never been so engaging.

What You Will Do

• Deliver interior design assignments which include conceptual design, schematic design, design development & construction documents in high standards.
• Coordinate design development and construction documents with project team members.
• Participate in selection of FF&E color palettes & material presentations and generate specifications.
• Collaborate closely with design team, clients, consultants, contractors and vendors throughout necessary project phases.
• Meet deadlines for design deliverables, manage budgets and time.
• Support project sustainability targets throughout project phases and actively engage in delivering them.
• Participate in business development efforts as well as exciting design and research projects and bring a new perspective to what we do for our clients.

Your Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with the design of interior design project experience in Retail and Commercial Design fields.
• Ability to demonstrate and show understanding of the retail brands.
• Having a curiosity and passion for trends and insight to strategically inform design.
• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of design or architecture
• Strong planning abilities, including development of design concepts, knowledge of furniture and finishes, planning codes, and budgets
• Self-starters with good verbal and written communication skills both with team and clients
• Strong presentation skills
• Proficiency in the use of Revit, AutoCAD, and other 3D design programs
• Fluent in both Japanese and English
