Graphics Supplies Operations (GSO) is a worldwide horizontal organization supporting HP's Graphic Solutions Business. It manages all E2E business and operational aspects for graphics inks, ink supplies and related consumables for multiple GSB product lines, including 3D Printing Supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • This position reports to GSO Supply Chain Section Manager and is located in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
  • Manages a diverse team of Purchasing and Procurement professionals accountable for supplier scouting and selection, supplier relationship and contract management, raw material inventory controls, PO placement, order/delivery tracking, spare parts ordering, capital purchasing planning, compliance with applicable regulations, enable a world class bill-of-materials (BOM) cost for managed products, business support to remote R&D teams, support NPI activities for vertically integrated inks and ink supplies, etc.
  • Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors managing all aspects of the global engineering and product quality assurance relationship with one or more key suppliers of external hardware, components, materials, or services for the development and manufacturing of a product or service line.
  • Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
  • Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.
  • Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
  • Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Management or equivalent is required.
  • An MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Finance or other disciplines is a plus.
  • Typically, 4 or more years of related work experience, including 0 -2 years of people management experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to operate in a complex matrix relationship environment.
  • Knowledge of chemical industries, raw materials and related regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Experience developing and managing supplier contracts and/or purchasing agreements. Knowledge of typical legal/business terms and conditions.
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
  • Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage human capital across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills.
  • Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.
  • Basics SAP ERP knowledge is a must.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skill.
  • Strong communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and Spanish language.
  • Good understanding of HP's policies and processes.
  • Ability to effectively interact with people from other cultures, countries and/or different time zones.
  • Willingness to travel (typically 25% of the time)
