Job Summary:

Reporting to the Group Assistant Treasurer, the Treasury Manager will be responsible for managing Latin America (“LATAM”) Treasury Operations for the Everest Chile, Colombia and Mexico businesses. The role requires extensive experience in Treasury Operations on a multinational basis with a focus on cash management, regional bank relationship management and treasury process improvement.

This is a high visibility role and will require partnering with global banks and financial institutions, Legal, Tax, Finance and Accounting functions with presentations to management, playing a key role in supporting Everest’s global growth.

This is a hybrid position based in Miami, FL working 3 days in office, 2 remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing day-to-day cash operations such as executing electronic funds transfers for claims and expense payments, intercompany settlements, account fundings and short-term cash investments.
  • Monitoring and analyzing daily cash positions, preparing weekly cash reports to head office, managing cash flows and forecasting short-term liquidity requirements across multiple entity structures. Understanding of investment products for deployment of cash into short to medium term investment options.
  • Serving as the Treasury subject matter expert in providing advisory on funding arrangements and bank account structuring. Partnering with Tax, Legal and Finance to propose and assess optimal funding mechanisms.
  • Managing the relationship with transactional banking partners and lenders as necessary.
  • Driving the Treasury Operations strategy and operational improvement.
  • Working closely with business units and bank relationships to resolve and research issues promptly and accurately.
  • Creating and improving operating manuals and treasury policies
  • Implementing FX strategies, cash pooling structures optimizing intercompany funds flow
  • Ensuring controls and reporting the treasury owned risks (including activities with banks) building plans to mitigate risks and improve key results.
  • Facilitating bank onboarding, periodic reviews. Exploring strategic relationships with local and international banks. Maintaining bank account documentation and signatories as needed.
  • Analyzing bank fees and negotiating the best fee structure.
  • Assisting in the preparation of treasury-related reports and presentations for international and Group senior management.
  • Supporting Treasury SOX testing.

Job Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Treasury or Finance
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
  • Bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English)
  • Familiarity with LATAM payment systems, formats, standards and currency restrictions for cash flow management and payments processing
  • Familiarity with local regulatory/government/banking authorities
  • Understanding local banking regulations and ensuring compliance with relevant financial reporting requirements, and internal controls
  • Leadership and collaboration skills to ensure Treasury objectives are communicated and understood
  • Flexibility to accommodate multiple time zones from time to time including Head Office (Eastern US)
  • Experience in implementing FX strategies, cash pooling structures optimizing intercompany funds flow
  • Solid understanding of global financial markets, products, and key treasury concepts
  • Growth-oriented mindset and desire to drive change.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Oracle, Galaxy-Xuber and/or treasury management systems is an advantage
