The Role

We’re looking for Manager, Consulting who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Manager, you will analyze our insurance clients' business and technology challenges and build creative solutions to drive transformation. You will be responsible for participating in the requirements analysis process, developing strong working relationships with clients and team members and building industry and domain expertise. Specifically, as a Senior Business Analyst, you have the opportunity to deliver immediate value to clients by working with a project-based team of consultants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field.
  • Background in Management Education - Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing consulting services, including practices, expertise, and resources to tackle business challenges, and helping identify and manage needed process improvements (including identification of new or improved business capabilities)
  • Lead consulting engagements with problem identification by translating engagement objectives into defined scope and executable tasks for team members. Lead team to form problem statement for project (engagement or component of engagement).
  • Lead the team to develop solution, business case, roadmap and present summary recommendations, including relevant people/process/technology solutions.
  • Develops clear and comprehensive product vision, product strategy, value proposition and measurable business KPIs that the product will deliver
  • Understand industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor offerings and align product roadmap for differentiation and market leadership
  • Developing relevant insurance industry and technology knowledge with in-depth focus in commercial lines of Business including transformation program (underwriting, claims and agent/broker facing capabilities)
  • Drive insurance technology product outcomes and make sure the product development is progressing smoothly across multiple stakeholders within client organization
  • Identify and support areas to build practice capabilities by developing service offerings, case studies. 

Requirements:

  • At least 8-12 years P&C commercial lines insurance consulting experience.
  • Exposure to working on transformation programs in the domain of: underwriting, claims and agent/broker facing capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of core P&C commercial lines and personal lines insurance products is a must.
  • Experience in running transformation programs with multiple teams and practices of the organization.
  • Experience working on COTS platforms – Guidewire and/or Duck Creek is good to have.
  • Research, development and authoring of consulting mindshare e.g., articles, whitepapers, and other collaterals
  • Coach/hire experienced consultants and new talent into the practice.
