The Juvare Technical Implementation Analyst (Front End Web Developer) is responsible for providing a wide range of software implementation services in our WebEOC and associated solutions. This is a customer facing role and touches on all aspects of the Software Development Life-Cycle framework.

With a keen eye for detail, and a desire to help agencies become better prepared to face a crisis, you'll be based in Melbourne and will work with high profile organizations throughout Australia and New Zealand. 

You'll have experience in a range of development technologies, with prior experience in implementing software. As you can imagine, deadlines in this industry can change in an instant, so you'll have a superior ability to multi-task and meet changing deadlines. 

Primary work location:

This is a remote position but you will be located close to Melbourne to allow for frequent Melbourne base staff meet-ups and client site visits. You will be reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, Juvare Asia Pacific. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure web-based products within the WebEOC framework to meet requirements of our clients' needs for emergency/incident response.
  • Responsible for the design, utilization and improvement of emergency/incident management processes.
  • Create written requirements documents to detail system configuration required to meet client’s needs for Emergency/Incident Response processes.
  • Provide technical assistance to stakeholders in the support and delivery of emergency/incident management specific programs.
  • Contribute information to systems for tracking progress and documenting status of activities.
  • Develop and implement various techniques and procedures for process reviews, including development of online training content and exercise assessments.
  • Tier 2 support for the region’s clients
  • Identify and implement staff development opportunities related to emergency preparedness and emergency response.
  • Support Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) activations when required.
  • Understand and be aware of, Juvare information security policies and standards.
  • Always protect company and client information.
  • Inform the Compliance Officer or hot line of any information security issues.
  • Compliance with Juvare policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

  • At least 5 years experience in web development
  • Technical Business Analysis skills
  • Excellent understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with Bootstrap versions 3 and 4
  • Experience with jQuery
  • Experience with RESTful services and APIs
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Material Design experience is preferred, but not essential
  • Experience in an emergency management environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • At least 5 years experience implementing software and working directly with clients
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Superior ability to multi-task and meet changing deadlines
  • Good understanding of servers and data flow
  • Ability and willingness to travel if required

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the EAR, applicants will be asked to provide specific documentation to verify U.S. person status under the EAR.
