Job Summary: 

Currently enrolled in a graduate-level program focused in biostatistics, statistics, data science, or a related field. 

We are currently seeking a Real World Evidence Method Research Intern. This full time role ((37.5 hours per week) will help to support ongoing business projects which entail conducting data analyses, contributing to the development of statistical methods and algorithms, and generating requested reports. 

  • Research Projects 
  • This role will involve the exploration and assessment of the impact of different statistical methods for external control arm (ECA), AI/ML including generative AI using Real-World Data, and potential development, optimization and validation of methods used in the drug development cycle. 
  • Data Analysis 
  • Apply statistical techniques to analyze data sets relevant to research projects. 
  • Statistical Programming 
  • Utilize programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, Python) to conduct data analysis and generate reports. 
  • Report Generation 
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, visualizations, and presentations summarizing analysis results. 
  • Team Collaboration 
  • Work closely with senior biostatisticians and researchers to support ongoing projects. 
  • Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and project discussions. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the department to achieve project goals.

  • Take advantage of learning opportunities, including seminars, workshops, and mentorship. 
  • Seek to enhance your knowledge of biostatistics, statistical methodologies, and relevant software. 

Responsibilities: 

This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the rapidly growing field of Real-World Evidence. Real-world data, drawn from healthcare records, claims, and patient registries, can provide valuable insights into treatment efficacy, patient outcomes, disease trends, and the real-world impact of medical interventions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our accomplished team of biostatisticians, data scientists, and healthcare professionals, contributing to projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and informing healthcare decision-making. 

This position involves actively supporting secondary data studies, participating in study design, performing statistical analyses, and contributing to result interpretation under the guidance of experienced mentors. Effective communication and collaboration with study teams and across different functions are key aspects of the role, and this role involves addressing study and analytics challenges under guidance. 

Education/Experience: 

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate-level program focused in biostatistics, statistics, data science, or a related field. 
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methodologies. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS) and data manipulation techniques. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and organize data. 
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a strong interest in biostatistics and data analysis. 
  • Compliant with internal and external compliance practices to ensure the integrity of work and suggest innovative approaches to improve compliances and processes.
