We are looking for an Enablement Specialist who can deliver complex system changes and corporate projects within Aviva’s system. This person will also will bring both business and system knowledge together in the analysis and implementation of such changes. The successful candidate will lead the delivery team.

What you’ll do

  • To carry out, start to finish, independently, a number of rate programs and/or improvement into Guidewire Policy Center Rating. It includes product model changes, rate table updates, testing and co-ordination with other departments.
  • Lead delivery team for successful implementation of rate refreshes and/or projects. Accountable for adherence of audit, risk and checklist process.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and validate for accuracy, to define high-level and detailed business requirements documents.
  • Implement planned requirements activities while remaining flexible to changing requirements based on project timelines.
  • Identify impacts on business processes based on detailed solutions and strategies.
  • Work independently to investigate sophisticated system issues and implement solutions.
  • Prepare professional specifications documents for system changes.
  • Make rate book logic changes and Gosu rating function changes directly in Guidewire rating engine.
  • Participate in sprint/release planning and provide estimates.
  • Source control and code review using GIT/BitBucket/Stash.
  • Participate and provide input into key design sessions, as required.
  • Test all system changes prior to implementation to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Work on projects and work with IT and Project Management Office as the need arises.
  • Mentoring and training junior business analyst and developer.

What you’ll bring

  • 7-10 years insurance experience
  • 3 - 5 years of subject domain expertise
  • Experience leading team for major initiatives/projects
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Enterprise systems such as Guidewire/HP Exstream/Ratabase
  • Agile methodology experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suits
  • College diploma (min.)
  • University Degree (preferred)
  • CIP/FCIP (preferred)
