Your opportunity Title: UX Designer. Digital Practice team – RNet Pune

Stantec’s Digital Practice Team in India is a fast-growing team. For the last two decades, this IT team is providing a variety of software automation, customization, business continuity solutions, and services for our global clients. The Digital Practice experts conduct research and development to keep our global teams and projects ahead of the technological curve. We work on emerging technology solutions for a variety of business sectors. Our goal is to be an accelerator of growth for Stantec and add value to our clients and communities with niche and advance technology solutions.

The Digital Practice Team in India works with several regions US, UK, CANADA, and ANZ, to name a few, and builds Digital Solutions and I.P. The team supports our multi-disciplinary engineering Design Deliverables with Engineering Software customization and automation services. , you will work with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and develop applications used directly by our clients. This team has developed a series of productivity tools and migrating those to newer emerging technologies.

The Digital Practice team works closely with our Design Delivery Leaders, Business Leaders, and clients to develop solutions to provide high quality & on-time deliverables.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and designers, to understand user needs, business goals, and project requirements.
• Conduct user research, user interviews, and usability testing to gain insights and inform design decisions.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, and user flows to visualize user interactions and identify pain points and opportunities.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions.
• Design user interfaces that prioritize usability, accessibility, and visual aesthetics, while maintaining consistency with brand guidelines.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure the user perspective is integrated into all stages of the design process.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure the feasibility and successful implementation of design solutions.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing results to optimize user experiences.
• Stay current with industry trends, UX design best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in design processes.
• Present and communicate design concepts, rationale, and user research findings to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, pattern libraries, and design guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of professional experience as a UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design expertise and user centered approach.
• Proficiency in UX design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and user research methodologies.
• Experience conducting user research, interviews, and usability testing.
• Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups using design tools or prototyping software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep empathy for users to create intuitive and delightful experiences.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of front-end development concepts and limitations is a plus.
• Experience with motion design and animation principles is a bonus.
• Willing to work in flexible hours to co-ordinate with our regional counterparts mainly from CANADA, US, UK, ANZ
