Quickbase is looking for an experienced and dynamic sales leader responsible for owning, leading and directing the Commercial Land selling teams to exceed sales revenue targets through demand generation and conversion of new logos. Reporting to the SVP of New Business Sales, you’ll be involved in the strategic planning, people management and development, selling, leveraging technology and applying rigor for improving our selling process and velocity.

As Vice President of Commercial Land, you’ll oversee a growing sales segment responsible for acquiring new logo customers. You will focus on inspecting Commercial sales success measures, in addition to, activities that ensure teams focus on generating and converting new logo opportunities. You’ll act as an inspirational thought leader within a high volume and velocity sales segment. As a Commercial Sales Leader, you will also be responsible for developing sales tactics and plays that consistently drive pipeline and conversion. An in-depth knowledge of selling cloud platforms, coaching teams to success and a passion for reinforcing sales discipline around converting new logos are critical components for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead the Commercial Land Sales segment’s go-to-market and operational strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Directly manage Commercial Sales Directors to create strategic clarity around prospecting and converting new logo accounts with effective demand generation and pipeline management focus
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Channel and Operations to execute on new logo sales growth
  • Leadership and Management of building, leading and motivating a high-performing sales team. This includes hiring, training, coaching and performance management of management and sales professionals to ensure they have the skills, resources and support needed to succeed
  • Demand generation resulting in driving revenue conversion through effective sales strategies, tactics and execution. This includes identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing a robust sales pipeline to support new logo growth and closing deals with prospects.
  • Optimize sales effectiveness through continuously improving the sales process and implementing best practices to enhance sales efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness. This may involve leveraging technology, data analytics and automation tools to streamline processes that drive better outcomes.
  • Oversee, drive adoption, and optimize sales methodologies, processes and technology including managing Salesforce and other critical tools to accelerate growth and productivity.
  • Create a positive environment for employee growth and productivity, keeping close tabs on team morale.
  • Hire, supervise, develop and mentor sales directors and indirectly supervise sales management and account executives.
  • Oversee performance management through execution of executive priorities and key focus areas

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of managing high volume and velocity software commercial sales teams with demonstrated ability to lead and scale multi-level high performing sales teams in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proven experience building, leading, coaching and managing sales teams with history of overachieving targets
  • Strong negotiation skills that result in value-based negotiations
  • Experience managing and converting high volume pipeline
  • Deep understanding of Command of Message / Force Management selling methodology
  • Experience utilizing sales tools that include Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, 6sense and Zoom Info
  • Analytical knowledge of how to utilize metrics to support effective sales behavior

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SaaS/Cloud business experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business-related discipline
