Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations, the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will work closely with the Senior Manager, Operations and the business team to segregate, filter and analyze Water Solutions’ standalone historical operating results and develop credible go-forward operating and financial metrics and assumptions for the business.

With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. This position could be based out of our Calgary, Alberta or Houston, Texas office

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead monthly and annual budgeting and 5-year forecasting processes for the Water Solutions business.
  • Conduct monthly actual to forecast variance analysis.
  • Work with departmental leaders to integrate the latest scope of work, timeline and costing information into forecasts.
  • Work with Departmental leaders to review plan vs actual spends.
  • Quarterly and annual forecast/budget preparation.
  • Assist the Corporate Development team with data-driven ad hoc analyses to respond to internal executive requests as well as potential external investor queries.
  • Build global P&L based on Country reports.
  • Support Corporate Accounting Group with month-end close procedures including payroll journal entries and timesheet labour adjustments.
  • Support in preparation of the annual tax package.
  • Performs reconciliations over various balance sheet accounts.
  • Partner with the Corporate accounting and finance team to align assumptions and KPIs and ensure a consistent approach to evaluating business performance.
  • Complete ad hoc reports or analysis in support of special projects.

Qualifications

  • 7 or more years of relevant work experience within a corporate accounting and/or FP&A team, preferably in the Water, Oil and Gas or other Industrial industries.
  • Strong Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • May be exposed to confidential information; must have high integrity and discretion.
  • Fluent in English and excellent communication skills.
