Overview: Jefferies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Banking Analyst to join our team in Zurich, Switzerland. As an Analyst in our Investment Banking division, you will play a critical role in executing transactions and providing strategic advisory services to our clients. Responsibilities:

  • Deal Execution: Assist senior bankers in the execution of M&A transactions, including financial analysis, due diligence, valuation, and preparation of marketing materials and presentations. 
  • Client Interaction: Engage directly with clients to understand their strategic objectives, provide market insights, and assist in developing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop complex financial models to analyze the financial performance of companies, evaluate potential transactions, and assess the impact on clients’ financial metrics.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth industry and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks relevant to clients’ businesses and transactions.
  • Transaction Support: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including legal, accounting, and tax advisors, to facilitate the execution of transactions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Presentation Preparation: Prepare pitch books, offering memoranda, and other presentation materials to effectively communicate key insights and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior bankers and other team members to support the overall execution of transactions and deliver exceptional service to clients.
  • Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential clients, participating in marketing activities, and assisting in the preparation of proposals and pitches.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, or related financial services roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including financial modeling, valuation techniques, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English and German; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
