About the Position

Employee Navigator is looking for an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer. Product Design at Employee Navigator owns the user experience in our core product as well as the company branding. The Senior Product Designer is responsible for bringing the user experience perspective to the entire product development process from product strategy, through user research, creating intuitive designs, and launching experiences that make our customers' lives easier.

Our mission is to build a multi-sided B2B platform that transforms how the industry works through the automation and standardization of digital enrollments. This is not an easy challenge given the current state of technology in this industry. Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct training for Product Managers on their role in the design process.
  • Continually expand and refine the Employee Navigator Design System in Figma and Storybook and promote its use to drive consistency in the product and efficiency in the process.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver designs while collaborating with PMs and Engineers from product concept to launch.
  • Represent the voice of the users. Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to help identify, understand, and solve the most pressing customer problems.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to mature our problem discovery and user research process.
  • Gather business objectives and project requirements from stakeholders.
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative data and user research to make informed decisions, respond to experiments, and iteratively adjust designs.
  • Create intuitive interfaces that demonstrate a strong understanding of use cases and user journeys.
  • Initiate and lead projects to improve the user experience on desktop and mobile devices.
  • Produce concepts, sketches, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and other design assets and effectively communicate these ideas to a range of stakeholders and audiences.
  • Oversee and approve development team implementation of approved designs.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience designing user experiences for the web (Desktop and Mobile).
  • A strong online portfolio demonstrating design thinking/process (problem/solution, before/after, research, sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, visual concepts, style guides).
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as InVision, Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, etc.
  • Proven organizational, project management, planning, and facilitation skills to drive results collaboratively.
  • Passion for data-driven product and design decisions with the ability to give and receive feedback constructively.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, presentation, and adaptability teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of UX best practices for applications and cross-platform devices.
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects on tight deadlines with attention to detail while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Experience managing other designers.
