ChampionX has an immediate need for a District Representative in our Chemical Technologies business in Qatar. In this role you will be primarily responsible for revenue and profit growth of ChampionX programs and services in targeted accounts within the Oil and Gas industries. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a team to manage and retain existing strategic ChampionX accounts and identify and help grow new business opportunities. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop in this role. In addition, you must build long-term relationships with a large customer base by understanding their key business drivers, executing system assurance programs, and selling new technologies.

What You Will Do:

  • Follow safety policies to provide a safe workplace for all employees and supports the guiding principles of Goal Zero to continually improve the plant’s safety, health and environmental performance, security, design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products. Drive culture of safety; Report safety observations / incidents.
  • Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by “doing it right the first time” and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties, in our drive continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with current and new customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and new customers, including plant or facility executives.
  • Generate and execute sales plans in assigned customer base and new customer accounts to meet defined territory profit increase goals.
  • Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer complaints, escalating as required.
  • Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.
  • Actively sell and support ChampionX innovations and technology in assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships with ChampionX.
  • Possible travel within assigned sales territory.

Minimum Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial), or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.)
  • 2 years of successful technical sales or field sales support experience.
  • Experience in oil and gas industry is a plus.
  • Flexible to travel 10 to 20% of their time when required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a working visa and residency in Qatar.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be in healthy physical condition to pass mandatory Offshore travel medical checks.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience directly related to well service stimulation business preferred.
  • Previous Refinery/Petrochemical experience
  • Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience
  • High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems)
  • History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation.
  • Prior experience that required excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Account leadership experience that includes calling on multilevel plant or facilities management to accomplish company goals.
  • Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multitask.
