EOI - Lead Piping and Layout Engineer

Position Overview:

We are currently undertaking Expression of Interest applications for Lead Piping and Layout Engineers who are interested in future opportunities located in Brisbane and Melbourne. As the Piping and Layout lead you will utilise your solid background in piping design, layout engineering, and project management to support our clients with LNG/green hydrogen/ammonia/decarbonisation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Lead the development and implementation of piping and layout strategies for the project.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of piping systems within the overall project scope.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans related to piping and layout activities.

Piping Design and Layout:

  • Oversee the development of piping and layout designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
  • Utilize advanced software tools for 3D modelling and simulation to optimize piping systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges in the piping layout.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure that all piping and layout designs adhere to relevant safety and environmental regulations and codes.
  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

Quality Assurance and Control:

  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of piping and layout designs.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with established standards.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience in piping design and layout, preferably in the energy or petrochemical industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modelling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Australian industry standards, codes, and regulations related to piping systems.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
