Within the entity Finance, we are looking for an IT Business Controller.
Your CHALLENGE as IT Business Controller
As part of the Flex GEN Cluster North controlling team you will be involved in cross country-Flex GEN Europe IT business controlling: local project control, budget follow-up, country cost allocation including set up of SLA’s, business partner of IT Flex GEN Europe management, delivering financial support to all departments within IT and define actions with regards to process improvement and result/cost optimization. Where possible take-over controlling activities within the scope of Cluster North.
Your main responsibilities as IT Business Controller
Coordinate and manage the financial performance of IT-activities of Flex Gen Europe. Financially manage the overall IT service portfolio.
- Inventory of all planned and executed projects.
- Inventory of all provided services with related supplier contracts.
- Monitoring of all relevant Purchase Orders including invoices and good receipts
- Monitoring of relevant revenues
- Process the contracting and invoicing of provided services to external customers.
- Co-developing the pricing model
- Follow up of contract management
- Review and coordinate the invoicing and dunning process
- Coordinate and define strategic and tactical budget planning with business and finance
- Coordinate the year-end closing of the IT portfolio.
- Implementation and follow up of all relevant data and information like FTE tariffs, internal & external staff
- Setup technical framework (Meisterplan, Power BI, Excel, SAP)
- Report on several Key Financial Indicators like Cost of Sales, Selling, General & Administrative cost, Earning Before Interest and Taxes, Capex and Opex
- Define all accruals (missing invoices, Purchase Orders, good receipts), estimates and agreements with ENGIE IT and stakeholders
- Prepare and define the best estimates
Monitor all project activities with regards to demand, best estimates and budget performance.
- Regular meetings with domain managers, team leads and project leader, or other stakeholders
- Support during the initiation of a new project.
- Support or challenge current project budget planning.
- Setup and coordinate technical framework (Meisterplan, Power BI, Excel, SAP)
Manage and provide IT financial reporting
- Ensure up-to-date data records in Meisterplan
- Provide relevant Power BI data and reports
- Ensure that all ERP finance data are provided (STAR, S4Hana, SUN, …)
- KPI and management reporting
- Ad-hoc reporting on request of CIO and other management
- Manage reporting to organizational group interfaces
- Historical financial reporting
- Set up and monitor financial country cost allocation model
- Prepare the SLA’s to transfer cost towards all countries involved in accordance with Transfer Pricing rules.
Controlling activities on scope of Cluster North to be determined in consultation with the Business Controller EMS (Energy Management Services) and Joint Ventures.
YOUR PROFILE as IT Business Controller
Experience
- You have a master degree in Finance/Economics/Engineering/MBA
- You have at least 5-10 years of experience in Finance or other controlling activities (internal control, audit, …)
Specific required experience
- Able to analyze and draw up reports with focus on main issues
- Understand, organize and optimize financial structures
- Process and system oriented. Knowledge of SAP / SMART / (Power) BI is a plus
- Able to work independently (from a distance)
- Able to communicate transparently and collaborate constructively within the Finance team and towards business partners (and other interfaces)
- Takes initiative to achieve main activities
- Fluent in English. Dutch, French and/or German is a plus
