JOB SUMMARY:

The College of Nursing and Public Health at Adelphi University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions in the MS in Healthcare Informatics Program. We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable individuals to join our team and contribute to the education of future healthcare informatics professionals.

SALARY INFORMATION:

In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $1,732 per credit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Teach on-ground/hybrid classes in the MS in Healthcare Informatics Program at the Garden City campus.

2. Develop and deliver course content that aligns with program objectives and prepares students for careers in healthcare informatics.

3. Foster a dynamic, engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

4. Provide mentorship and support to students to facilitate their academic and professional growth.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A minimum of a master's degree in a relevant field, such as Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

2. Relevant professional experience in the field of Healthcare Informatics.

3. Experience in healthcare settings, health information systems, electronic health records (EHRs), data analytics, or healthcare IT implementation can be particularly valuable.

4. Prior experience teaching at the university level, preferably in healthcare informatics or a related field.
