Position Description:

CGI is looking for an ETL Developer to join us in Cleveland OH location. This candidate should seamlessly utilize Informatica, Oracle, Teradata, Denodo and Tableau with the latest in responsive database, Informatica ETL and Tableau reports. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, passion for technology, and extensive development experience.

This candidate will serve as a technical expert of a large-scale digital development project consisting of both on-shore and off-shore developers. The ETL Developer will work together with Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts and Technical Managers to build a database and reports.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Aligns business strategy with software solutions.
  • Proposes, designs & codes software solutions to address complex business needs. Oversees technical and procedural documentation required.
  • Leads complex problem solving.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development.
  • Displays an innovative approach to apply modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • 5+ years of experience working in relational database design with Oracle and Teradata
  • Proficient in Informatica, with a good knowledge of ETL development
  • Strong experience in design, building and testing the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) applications.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience in working with Data Virtualization tool Denodo.
  • Experience working with enterprise data warehouses.
  • Familiarity extracting data from multiple data sources such as DB2, Oracle, and flat files.
  • Familiarity with database stored procedures
  • Strong SQL experience required.
  • Experience working in Linux environment and Shell scripting.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing Tableau reports
  • Provide end-user support including business queries and requests.
  • Provides reviews of the deliverables and identifies gaps and areas of improvement.
  • Maintain in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of standards, guidelines, and industry trends for Data Integration, Data Migration and Architectures.
  • Fulfil and design the development for logical data models as well as physical data models.
  • Proposes, designs & codes software solutions to address complex business needs. Oversees technical and procedural documentation required.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development.
  • Displays an innovative approach to apply modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
  • Strong agile/scrum development experience
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed project teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000 - $165,300.”
