Senior Salesforce Administrator 

Role purpose 

Under the supervision of the Global Head of Salesforce, the Salesforce Administrator will provide support to the organization through the customization and configuration of the Salesforce platform and business analysis for Salesforce purposes. The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of our database. The Business Analyst is responsible for liaising with business teams in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes in business processes, policies and information. 

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Focus on the organization’s use of data towards what best serves our mission.
  • Manage Salesforce roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows, groups, user maintenance, modification of page layouts, generation of reports and dashboards, creation of new fields and other routine tasks.
  • Automate processes using Salesforce tools such as process builder, approval processes, workflow and validation rules.
  • Manage less complex Salesforce integrations - those not handled by a Salesforce Developer or Consultant/Partner.
  • Identify, install and maintain appropriate apps from the AppExchange.
  • Train new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization.
  • Document customizations made in Salesforce.
  • Maintain and customize Sales Cloud applications.
  • Manage operational requests and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain database for integrity and accuracy including cleansing and duplicate record management.
  • Manage all sales related technical resources and migration of data into Salesforce.
  • Evaluate new releases from Salesforce to determine functionality requirements and provide detailed information on how changes will apply to all affected departments/users.
  • Run and store the weekly snapshot (data export) of the system data and attachments, including all history tables. Keep the snapshots for at least 90 days.
  • Look at the login history table to spot any user lockouts, excessive login errors, and unexpected IP addresses. 
  • Run all APEX tests in the system to spot any new errors that may have crept in due to changes in validation rules, triggers, or data cleanup.
  • Open up the Setup Audit Trail and look for any changes/adds/deletions made.
  • Working with business representatives to understand requirements, scope and acceptance criteria
  • Interpreting of business needs and translation into application and operational requirements.
  • Analyzing and document business processes
  • Writing User Manuals, Training Material and Application Support Documents as required.

Skills Required: 

  • Salesforce Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified REQUIRED.
  • Knowledge of Dataloader, Workbench and SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, processes, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
  • Knowledge of Pardot, Workday and Xactly is a plus.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor Degree Level education in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or closely related field, or equivalent qualifications/work experience
  • Minimum 5 years hands on experience as a Salesforce administrator.
  • Must have experience with Sales cloud in the lighting environment.
  • Experience of translating requirements into technical tickets .
