About Your Role: 

The Head of Product Intelligence and Pricing is a newly created role that will serve to build the foundational capabilities of market intelligence and data-driven decision making to accelerate innovation and commercialization of NTAM’s product and investment capabilities. This role will help to establish a robust, data-driven framework for pricing of NTAM’s products across multiple asset classes, vehicles and geographies across our Trillion-dollar global platform. The objective of this role is to help NTAM executive leadership understand the competitive positioning and success factors to drive organic growth for our product capabilities globally. 

Key Responsibilities:

The Head of Product Intelligence and Pricing will

  • Develop a robust framework and process for monitoring and reporting on competitive performance, assets, flows, revenues and other metrics by asset class, investment strategy, vehicle type and client segment that helps NTAM executives to make data-driven business decisions. 
  • Develop a robust, data-driven framework for pricing of NTAM’s products, including rate cards for different asset classes, vehicles and client segments. Establish common guidelines for pricing strategy across multiple regions (US, EMEA, APAC) and client segments (Institutional, Intermediary).
  • Partner with Distribution teams on fee negotiations for large and/or custom mandates or strategic relationships. Enable “bundled pricing” strategies across asset management and asset servicing products (custody, brokerage, etc.)
  • Partner with Investments, Investment Oversight and Risk Management teams to create robust framework for competitive/ peer group performance monitoring and setting of risk tolerances for investment strategies.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or CFA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of work experience in the investment management industry, with experience in strategy, product development, or client-facing roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build a strong team and foster collaboration with key stakeholders across Northern Trust
  • Strong analytical and business management skills with the ability to develop strategic goals and translate into specific and measurable execution plans.
  • Results-oriented, client-centric focus and problem-solving mindset
