The Jacobs team in Auckland have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to come join them and play a pivotal role in our iconic projects spanning across ANZ, in sectors such as Power Generation (including Renewable Energy), Water and infrastructure.

The Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer provides technical support on projects, enabling accuracy and quality of delivery. You’ll comply with standards and procedures, optimise ways of working whilst contributing to a culture of safety and quality. In this role, with your industry experience, you'll be able to add value to our key market sectors - Power Generation, Water and/or Infrastructure being advantageous. If you're a degree-qualified engineer with solid work experience in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, or Mechatronics, then we want to hear from you! In this vital role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Utilise prior knowledge of designing industrial control systems, including system architecture, PLCs/RTUs, HMIs, SCADA, instrumentation, industrial network, and wired/wireless communications. Comfortable in designing, configuring, and integrating these systems.
  • Produce engineering deliverables, including models, drawings, calculations, specifications, datasheets, reports, and evaluations.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues, supporting their professional development.
