The ideal candidate for the Area Human Resource Manager position will have experience in all areas of the Human Resource function. The position responsibilities will primarily focus on talent acquisition, retention, onboarding, employment, and learning & development. Responsibilities may also include benefit administration, compensation, employee/labor relations, counseling, safety, workers compensation administration, leaves & disabilities. and, most importantly, engagement with our colleagues! This position will assist with administration of the Human Resources function at two Hyatt properties- Hyatt Regency La Jolla and Hyatt Centric Park City- and the office is based out of Hyatt Regency La Jolla in San Diego, CA. Because the responsibilities of this position will be heavily focused on recruitment, onboarding, and training/development, experience in these areas is preferred. This position will report to the Area Director of Human Resources. This person must have the ability to run the day to day operation of the Human Resources office in the Director's absence.

The hourly range for this position is $29.71 to $41.63, which annualizes at $61,800 to $86,600 based on 40 hours per week. This is the pay range for this position that Hyatt Regency La Jolla reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • 2 or more years of human resources experience preferred, ideally in the hospitality industry
  • Must routinely meet deadlines and be able to multi-task
