You will be based in one of our offices in Central Europe, CIS or Turkey and will report directly to the Director of Commercial Negotiations (located in New York). You will also have a dotted line to the Regional Managing Director.
You'll be at the epicenter of our regional senior leadership team and will work with our legal counsel to coordinate the documentation and execution of agreements that will ensure high quality commercial contracts, which keep firm interests at heart and reflect our relentless drive for lasting impact.
You’ll advise our partners on highly complex client commercial issues and will work with our regional leadership team to take our commercial discipline to the next level of sophistication.
You´ll be uniquely placed to support the negotiation of commercial terms for our global professional consulting services, negotiating large programs and multi-year agreements across the region. You'll be responsible for building new capabilities, enhancing the way we work with our clients on the commercial elements of our engagements and bringing tangible top and bottom line impact to the firm.
In building trust based relationships with the firm's partners in the CE, CIS & Turkey regions (and globally), you'll support teams in developing standard commercial and alternative models. Your knowledge of market trends and ability to identify them will increase our understanding of client positioning in negotiations, provide insights into third party negotiation tactics and enable more impact when advising teams.
Further, you'll develop annual plans for agreement re-negotiations by drafting agreements, participating in negotiations, and mediating disputes. You´ll also play a supportive role in partner education of best practices for negotiations strategies, tactics and unique McKinsey issues. This means you´ll customize regional training modules and support the coaching and training for the Client Negotiation Leaders to ensure alignment among the partners and regions.
You'll have the opportunity to build your personal knowledge base by tracking macroeconomic trends, global inflation rates and currency fluctuations and supporting the building and running of financial models to further identify improvement opportunities. You'll also help research and maintain a database of professional services and industry commercial terms (e.g. payment terms, interest rates, compensation levels, renewals terms, etc.).
