POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our East Coast Design Studio in New York. 

The Junior Graphic Designer will support the Art Director with forward-thinking print and digital creative that amplifies Maesa’s exclusive brands, and partner in planning, managing, and delivering strategic brand assets from concept through execution.

There will be opportunities to develop presentations, packaging, advertising, in-store assets, digital content, and light video/animations.

PAY RANGE:

$65K/yr - $75K/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. 

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Collaborate with brand managers & marketing teams to conceptualize, design, and develop brand identities and compelling digital assets.
  • Work interconnectedly with designers on the team to ensure quality of ideas and final assets.
  • Assist in the following design projects: design & trend research, mood boards, logo & brand identity, collateral design, packaging, advertisements, digital and social media content.
  • Meet extremely tight deadlines while delivering quality design.
  • Multitask on multiple brands and projects self-sufficiently.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design
  • 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency in Power Point
  • A passion for beauty, fashion and cosmetics
  • Superior typography & design skills
  • Strong awareness of design and social media trends
  • Highly motivated and able to take initiative
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • A thirst for all skills creative, ready to jump into multiple no graphic oriented formats of design including set styling, shoot planning, and retouching
  • Thrive under pressure while managing multiple projects
  • A go-getter attitude that is willing to continue to learn and grow!
