Role overview

At CarOffer, we are committed to disrupting the automotive industry with our innovative software solutions. We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to support the development team and work under the Creative Director to assist with software and mobile application design needs. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a hyper-growth environment where speed and flexibility is part of the day-to-day.

What you'll do

  • Work with the Creative Director, product, project management, and development team to get design specifications and requirements to be correct.
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions, focusing on the user journey.
  • Understand and translate product requirements into intuitive user experiences.
  • Adhere to design system and style standards on fonts, colors, etc. 
  • Maintaining consistent style across designs.
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and site maps.
  • Solid ability to create visual solutions to solve operational, consumer, and client problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to visualize data to create dashboards and UI layouts.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to make trade-offs when conditions change.
  • Assist with the creation and editing of UI software/mobile application designs.
  • Ensure developed web and software designs are visually accurate.
  • Conduct layout and content adjustments based on feedback.
  • Improve existing software functionality and interfaces.
  • A firm understanding of the creative process, and how to abbreviate that process for tight deadlines.
  • Passing over UI comps to the development team.
  • Working with the team on collaborating unique and user-friendly design concepts.
  • Following timelines and completing assignments on the deadline.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's Degree (BFA) in Interactive or Graphic Design or related field.
  • 3+ years of UI/UX experience.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Adobe CC, Miro, Zeplin, Sketch and/or Figma within a Mac environment.
  • Preferred qualifications include mobile application development, automotive industry experience, and proficiency in using Jira.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and a proactive, independent working style.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively present and articulate design decisions.
  • Self-sufficient, takes initiative, and is able to quickly re-prioritize workload with a strong desire to learn and grow as a designer.
