The Role: 

ApplyBoard is looking for a seasoned General Manager to oversee entire Australia Business Unit operations including CX, Partner Relations and Sales overlay functions for the developing businesses. Primary objective of the business unit is to ensure division enrolments goals are met in accordance with ApplyBoard’s standards. In addition, the General Manager will be responsible for maturing the business to the point that we can embed the emerging business into the standard ApplyBoard scalable operation engine.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience building, leading, and managing a high-impact and high-output team and developing solutions in a dynamic working environment. Our ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader and team player, with hands-on experience supporting sales methodology, the sales life cycle, technical selling tools, processes and salesperson effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility of Enrollment attainment pertinent to Australia
  • Lead CX, PR and Sales Overlay Team members
  • Build a data driven GTM Strategy for Australia destination which includes but is not limited to:
  • Identifying the best source markets and Recruitment Partners to recruit from through extensive research
  • Identifying and implementing growth strategies
  • Build sufficient Supply to exceed targets by acquiring and managing institutions. Segment institutions appropriately to differentiate high growth opportunities vs organic growth opportunities
  • Work with Marketing to deploy school led promotional campaigns
  • Streamline the Application Process for Australia to increase student success and improve institution experience.
  • Build scalable model that will sustain success through through the standard ApplyBoard engine tomorrow
  • Liaise with the regional sales teams to ensure goal achievement
  • Provide monthly Business updates to executive team
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Accomplish Destination objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; and making mid-course corrections.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing professional networks and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices 

What you will bring:

  • Previous work experience as a Senior Leader/General Manager in a high-growth company, preferably within the technology and/or education sector
  • Possess a postgraduate degree in any field (preferably an MBA) 
  • 10+ years experience in leadership with increasing responsibility including leading a sales and client-facing team in a hyper-growth environment
  • Experienced in delivering team success in a quota bearing role
  • Experience designing, developing, implementing and evaluating the performance and learning effectiveness metrics; reporting on the impact of sales enablement resources, learning solutions and tools
  • Knowledge of selling tools, instructional design tools and learning management systems (eg. Salesforce, Workday Learning, Zunos, Articulate etc)
  • Effective relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to influence and positively partner with others
