The Product Analyst specializes in refining big-picture vision down to actual artifacts that the engineering team will build. The Product Analyst team’s focus is on defining how things are going to be done and ensures that what our developers build satisfies the requirements. The Product Analyst works side-by-side with engineers to ensure that designs and completed product features meet customer expectations and market demands.

Interested? Here’s what we need from you: 

  • Detail-oriented with a knack for fine-tuning; for example, you might be that developer who finds yourself translating requirements frequently to your fellow developers in a way that they understand 
  • Experience writing or working with User Stories or Features, as well as requirements and specifications  
  • Experience working within an Agile product development process 
  • Familiarity with TFS (Team Foundation Server) or other software development management tools 
  • Experience as a software engineer or developer, technical product manager or analyst, or business analyst on a software engineering project 
  • Ability to interface with and provide in-depth product answers to other corporate departments, such as Product Management, Operations, and Customer Support 
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with a customer service focus 
  • Ability to comfortably and effectively present to small groups 
  • A rich blend of business and technical savvy 
  • Ability to manage numerous tactical and strategic priorities effectively at any given time 
  • Intermediate skills in MS products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
  • Ability to continually pass background check requirements for working on and connecting to public safety information systems 
  • Up to 25% travel 

Bonus points for:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, or related field (or equivalent experience) 
  • Background in public safety and knowledge of public safety software 
  • Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch), RMS (Records Management Systems), and/or other public safety software modules
