TikTok's (Content) Partnerships team is responsible for accelerating the growth of our top 100 global media accounts by developing strong, executive level relationships, landing core platform narratives, securing incremental growth (primarily content but in alignment with media, marketing and Global Business Solutions teams) and providing best in class service.

The North American Sports Partnerships Lead will oversee a team of Sports specialists who develop and nurture high level relationships, secure incremental growth in content and deliver clear and attributable value back to publishers in order to improve partner ROI. This role is responsible for methodical and market leading JBP and QBR cycles delivered at executive level to the top North American sports partners. You will work closely with business development to negotiate major content partnerships for North American Sports organisations and events.

This is a pivotal role that requires excellent communication and relationship building skills, proven industry experience and the capability to work across countries, continents and cultures.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, own, align and deliver a clear North American Sports publisher strategy for 2024
  • Responsible for the development and growth of North American sports partners
  • Team leadership of North American sports partner managers responsible for fostering the team's individual growth and career development
  • Build and nurture high-level and reliable key partner relationships at a senior level
  • Co-create annual Joint Business Partner agreements that include growth, product adoption and revenue
  • Confidently lead collaborative workstreams with Global Business Solutions, Marketing, and other revenue-driving teams to capture full potential for the Sports accounts that are both a customer and a partner
  • Collaborate with Publisher Ops and Publisher Growth and Development teams, especially in providing partner best practice examples that can impact key narratives that are consistent in demonstrating overall value addition to partners globally
  • Focus in on North American sports partnerships that can support key sporting tentpoles

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Our ideal candidate has experience across Sports industry partnerships, business development and content strategy
  • A strong track record of people management that can be demonstrated via tangible results of team members' individual career development
  • Deep understanding and insights of the key metrics and measurements in content and creator operations
  • Ability to meet deadlines and drive strong execution in a fast‑paced environment
  • Exemplary interpersonal, analytical and communications skills
  • BS

Required Qualifications:

  • Understanding of North American business dynamics, including understanding or intellectual curiosity to dive deeper into key issues versus accepting a cursory understanding of the marketplace
  • Creative approach to business development that fully appreciates the unique value TikTok creates for our Sports partners and ability to sell this narrative and value prop
  • Understanding of key business priorities, including the ability to clearly articulate key issues, recommend solutions, and kick off projects to serve those core business priorities
  • Extraordinary organizational skills with the ability to work cross functionally with other stakeholder teams as well as senior leadership
  • MS/MA/MBA
