What You’ll Be Doing

Cadmus seeks a behavioral-focused Research Analyst to join the Market Research & Customer Insights team in the Energy Division. The Research Analyst is expected to work with project teams to execute client-funded research activities pertaining to behavior change and demand response in the context of energy management. Many of our clients are utilities who administer behavior-based programs that rely on customer engagement and participation such as home energy reports, peak time rebates, critical peak pricing, and time of use. Our team performs evaluations and market research to assess the effectiveness of these programs and make recommendations for improvement. The Research Analyst will assist project teams in all aspects of evaluation and market research (research design, planning, data collection, analysis, reporting, and presentation).

Responsibilities

  • Study and become familiar with behavior change and demand response programs
  • Assist in the planning and design of data collection tools (interview guides, survey instruments, etc.)
  • Conduct interviews with program staff, utility partners, and market actors
  • Manage large-scale surveys from launch to closing
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of collected data
  • Assist with the interpretation of results and transformation into findings, conclusions, and recommendations
  • Assist with developing client PowerPoint presentations, memos, and reports
  • Help create clear, impactful figures and visuals to accompany presentations and reports
  • Communicate professionally through conferencing/telephone and email with out-of-state colleagues and clients, in varying time zones

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in the behavioral sciences preferred (e.g., psychology, behavioral economics, cognitive science, human factors) and 0-2 years experience
  • Strong self-management skills including the ability to: manage time efficiently, organize complex information, prioritize tasks, initiate tasks independently, and seek advice when appropriate
  • Keen observation skills such as spotting errors, finding patterns, adapting to surroundings, and thinking critically
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Experience conducting research activities such as interviews, surveys, focus groups, field observations, or literature reviews
  • Strong familiarity with experimental design
  • Knowledge of statistics; experience running and interpreting statistical analyses, a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience using Qualtrics, a plus
  • Some domestic travel may be required

Additional Information:

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $52,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
