QA Operations Specialist 

The QA Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the process of Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions within Abbott Zwolle and is responsible for the Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions within the QA Operations department.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Primary contact to Operational Groups for quality incidents and events; representing QA departments.
  • Perform administrative tasks and activities related to Batch Review and Batch Release process.
  • Develop, plan, implement and monitor the QA continuous improvement portfolio using trends, complaint data, and analyses of product- and process quality.
  • Actively participate in KSIs (Key Site Initiatives), company targets and QA initiatives.
  • Project management and specialized support for complex and high impact quality issues.
  • To ensure and consolidate Abbott Laboratories quality systems specific for CAPA / QR / AMS/ Material Review Board and Management Review Metrics.
  • Responsible for the quality of the continuous improvement portfolio and the successful implementation of projects.
  • To create the QA improvement portfolio trends, complaint data, and analyses of product- and process quality.
  • Planning of the portfolio with QA department, Production, Logistics, Purchase and Maintenance considering the business targets.
  • Facilitate and manage projects of the focus areas.
  • Report departmental and operational performance results to management.
  • Support Operations, QA and Material Management with technical and professional expertise within the field areas of quality achievements.
  • Primary contact for Operational Management for tactical and complex quality issues.
  • Responsible for Abbott Laboratories policies and procedures related to CAPA, QR and Management Review.
  • Project management and external coordinator in specialized support for complex and high impact quality issues.
  • Review of QR’s as a Qualified Person (QP).
  • Responsible for training employees at Abbott Laboratories on CAPA and QR related subjects.
  • Together with the Compliance team responsible for implementation of new and changed procedures.
  • Proactively observe, analyze, identify trends bottlenecks in the field area.
  • Report trends and bottlenecks to Management and responsible for follow up.
  • Updating processes and systems policy QA department.
  • Realization of QA annual plans & business targets.
  • Communication in Abbott Laboratories worldwide correctly and on time.
  • Documentation CAPA / QR on time and correct.
  • Registration and report of the assigned achievement indicators.

Knowledge

  • HBO + level e.g. Food Technology / Chemistry/ Microbiology.
  • 3+ year of experience in an operational QA environment.
  • Project management Methods and techniques.
  • Standards for nutritional production.
  • CAPA surveys, analyses, and statistics trends.
  • (International) Stakeholder management.
  • Process Control Systems.
  • Quality Assurance.
  • Good knowledge of the English language, spoken and written (knowledge of Dutch is a huge plus)
