The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Integrated Supply Chain works out of our Princeton, NJ location in the Abbott Point of Care Division (APOC) and is responsible for revamping and establishing a high-performance team and new processes to manage end-to-end global supply chain activities for $41MM product lines including new product launch and EOL scenario planning. This includes finished goods supply/demand planning, finished goods and raw material inventory planning, Princeton indirect purchasing, Operations IBP process and Supply Chain continuous improvement. They will execute global supply chain strategies in alignment with APOC business objectives and improve the stock availability for the business growth while managing the inventory of approximately $20 million to meet the cash flow target. This includes global responsibility for the new product launch and line extension supply chain readiness and measurement to reduce costs of materials and services, mitigate supply chain risk including EOL initiatives, ensuring compliance to corporate purchasing policies within direct purchasing areas including full responsibility for Third Party Manufacturers (TPM day-to-day) planning/tactical purchase.

The Senior Manager, Integrated Supply Chain partners with demand manager, Global and US Marketing/commercial, third-party manufacturers, regulatory, warehouses/Logistics, Finance, R&D, Manufacturing/engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Customer Service to balance demand and supply that improve on-time delivery, optimize operation and inventory, and reduced total costs as well as supply risks. It supports development of business unit growth opportunities as well as operational cost reduction initiatives. The position reports to Senior Director, Global Supply Chain.

What You’ll Work On

  • Balance demand and supply to meet customer requirements at service level of higher than 97% and achieve business unit inventory target;
  • Responsible for assigned product line inventory projection, strategy, execution, short/long term planning including raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods. Monitor and recommend modifications to manufacturing forecasts to optimize customer product supply service levels and days on hand finished goods inventory globally.
  • Propose and execute finished goods and component safety stock levels, streamline supply pipeline, optimize supply plan in balance of demand variation/uncertainty to achieve cash flow target
  • Direct Purchasing and Sourcing operation, areas included are day-to-day supply planning for Third Party Manufacturers (TPM) including finished goods and components; lead regular meetings with the TPMs to ensure supply on time in full;
  • Monitor TPM supply performance and collaborate with Strategic Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality to address any supply gaps
  • Work proactively with demand planning, Finance, commercial areas and TPM/operations during times of product allocation and develop contingency plans, manage communication with senior management on revenue impact as required and manage communication between marketing/sales & manufacturing operations.
  • Identify the gaps between current vs. to-be in the divisional IBP rollout, implement and lead Instrument IBP process including TPM supply point review and Value Stream Review with cross- functional teams.
  • Lead or support global Supply Chain improvement projects as well as cross-functional process improvement, change management and execute supply chain policies/strategies set by Global Supply Chain Senior Director
  • Propose cost saving opportunities from supply chain streamline processes and supply optimization
  • Establish and execute new product launch supply scenarios in collaboration with Commercial, Finance, and Manufacturing
  • Support product design change and ensure supply continuity during transition
  • Optimize use of MPS/MRP tools and develop appropriate tools for data analysis and metrics
  • Interface with upper management including Director, VP and DVP in Operations, Sales, Marketing, lead item master data management.
  • Provide key financial input on budget and decisions that will drive the strategic/tactical direction of the business unit.
  • Evaluate existing team performance and propose organization change to upgrade the talents. Manage 3~4 direct reports, including training, mentoring, goal setting and performance review

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Supply Chain, Operation or Engineering;
  • 10+ years supply chain experience required, preferably in healthcare or other highly regulated industries, experienced with quality systems
  • Third-party procurement planning experience
  • Strong MPS/MRP knowledge with detailed understanding of how to optimize master data setting that optimize the planning
  • Experience working in a global environment
  • Self-motivated and strong leadership to challenge status quo
  • Strong Customer Focus and ability to get results.
  • Demonstrated process improvement skills. 
  • Ability to make business decisions under uncertainty
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stake holders, effectively work and communicate in matrix global organization (sales, marketing, plant, warehouse, customer service, etc.)
  • Travel requirement: 10~15%

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS certified
  • New product launch experience
  • Experienced with international distribution and business development preferred

The base pay for this position is

$118,000.00 – $236,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
