The Opportunity
This position works out of our Lake Forest, IL location in the Rapid Diagnostics division.
The IT Business Analyst provides Manufacturing and Supply Chain (SCM) system support to manufacturing business team primarily focused on North America region with opportunity to expand globally. Works directly with internal clients and applies IT, business knowledge and experience to understand and align on business systems processes, translation of user needs to system requirements, provide level of support with day-to-day operations, and manage operational projects for ERP and SCM applications. These applications are regulated by GxP and SOX.
Below are some work responsibilities you will be responsible for if hired:
- Liaison between the IT and business area in manufacturing and supply chain domain.
- Analyzes business processes; elicits, analyzes, and documents business requirements; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility, and makes recommendations that are best for the company overall.
- Works directly with internal clients and applies IT and business knowledge and experience to develop and understand the business case and business requirements to solve for technology related business problems.
- Translates business requirements for system changes into functional requirements; performs data and process modeling; manages change.
- Leads and coordinates testing; Prepares testing plans to confirm that requirements and system design are accurate and complete, performs verification, and user acceptance.
- Leads department level initiatives and provides assistance to Program or Project managers on phases of a larger project.
- Perform project management activities including maintenance of project schedules to ensure tasks are completed within scheduled timeframe.
- Perform root cause analysis on system issues to drive resolution
- Provides system support to end users and administrators to resolve business and technical problems.
- Makes sure systems are compliant with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures regarding Software Lifecycle Control.
- Performs work using existing standards, methodologies and processes and understands other systems/business processes relationship to each other.
- Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum 6 years related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area.
- Solid understanding and application of business concepts, procedures and practices.
- Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Has a sound knowledge of a variety of alternatives and their impact on their business unit.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure with ERP systems such as JDE, JDP, SAP or others.
- 2 years of manufacturing / shop floor knowledge / experience
- 2 years of experience with Supply Chain support to business
- Experience working with IT Teams as a BA.
- 5 years of experience working in an IT environment independently and in teams.

The base pay for this position is
$71,300.00 – $142,700.00
