Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Training Manager to join our TEAM! As the Training Manager, we need someone who is ready to provide support to our Manufacturing Facilities’ training needs for front-line production and maintenance teams accelerating the learning process and providing training support to the leadership team on site.
Primary Objective
The Training Manager will be primarily responsible for providing a variety of support to the Manufacturing Leadership teams such as creating training materials and coaching training team members on the facilities equipment and safety procedures. This role will require the manager be committed to learning and becoming a Subject Matter Expert on operation and safety processes through out the manufacturing organization.
Major Function and Scope
Implements and Develops training aids based on the needs of the facility
Responsible for sharing best practices to manufacturing facilities
Work closely with training team members on new employee orientation and onboarding activities for new in-role plant team members
Collaborate as needed with SMEs locally and nationally to ensure training content quality and preparedness for base-level training
Work with Plant Leaders to plan and execute training efforts to ensure readiness of shifts to meet production goals
Communicate progress in training, assessing, and certifying plant team members on their skills in functional areas across the production floor
Own and Drive continues improvement to training based on various metrics and production goals
Promote, understand, and strictly adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality guidelines without deviation
Experience and Knowledge Required
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Human Resources, or related field
5+ years’ experience in training roles of increasing responsibilities
Proven leadership behavior and people management skills
Lean Six Sigma certifications a plus
Comfort with data analysis and creation of clear communications and presentations
Experience working with a technical workforce in manufacturing environments
Ability to travel (50% minimum)
Competencies
Strong ability to effectively communicate ideas and knowledge to appropriate levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing. Excels in the ability to facilitate and lead training across multiple functions of a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply results effectively. Exercises independent judgment and initiative. Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Word and Excel are mandatory. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
