McKesson’s Workforce Planning & Analytics team helps leaders make better decisions through people data that is business informed, business relevant, usable and actionable. As a member of the WP&A Analytics Enablement Team, the Workforce Analyst will ensure a solid data foundation and build tools/resources so that WP&A can deliver people analytics and insights to Business Leaders and HR to drive workforce decisions. Through close partnerships with other WP&A team members as well as data owners, the Sr. Workforce Analyst will gain a sound understanding of business objectives and serve as an analytics consultant and technical SME to provide access to workforce data through various methods and tools. The Enablement Analyst will indirectly support multiple McKesson business units by delivering their workforce analytics needs. This role requires an individual who is passionate about using data to drive business results, has a curious mind, and strong analytical and consulting skills. 

The position’s objectives are:

  • Analytics and Visualization SME:
  • Design, develop, create, and maintain reporting/dashboards, analytics, and data orchestration capabilities using applications such as Visier, Tableau, Snowflake, and Workday in the People Analytics space
  • Ensure dashboards are powerful, insightful, intuitive, and actionable
  • Lead and participate in gathering complex and often unique business requirements by partnering with internal consultants and customers to define and understand the business problem and data needs and leveraging understanding of the problem to deliver insightful solutions
  • Understand how the data solutions will be used to make/influence business decisions, and communicated to management
  • Maintain and improve existing data models, reports, and dashboards
  • Act as a resource and mentor team members by providing guidance on Data Visualization, business intelligence tools, techniques, and processes
  • Have strong UX perspective combining user experience thinking with design execution to produce useable and intuitive experiences
  • Support data discovery, validation, and dashboard creation within Visier
  • Participate in Data Governance initiatives including data dictionary creation/maintenance and data integration improvement.

  • Advanced experience developing business deliverables that leverage business intelligence platforms
  • Experience developing interactive dashboards, charts, pivots, and reports in Tableau Desktop 2021.1 or higher using advanced calculations, parameters, and data blending
  • Successful track record working on large scale ‘Enterprise’ projects critical to the business
  • Experience working with large complex ‘Enterprise’ data sets and systems to aggregate, organize, and prepare data for use in business analysis.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting data quality issues
  • Experience with fast-paced, cross-functional, large scale initiatives with high degree of complexity

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience modeling and applying time series forecasting into dashboards/analytical solutions
  • Highly proficient with Excel
  • Experience with Visier a plus
  • Extensive experience with data analysis
  • Python and/or R programming experience a plus
  • ETL/Data Engineering experience a plus

Minimum Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in Finance, Economics, Data & Analytics, or a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) discipline
  • 4+ years of experience in a complex organization
  • 6+ years of experience in analytics or business intelligence, 3+ years interacting and communicating with key business partners in a lead role
  • 5+ years of advanced experience in database querying/scripting, implementing data-driven solutions, reporting experience, and building dashboards and visualizations
  • Advanced experience developing business deliverables that leverage business intelligence platforms and data management platforms (Visier, Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, Snowflake, SQL, Netezza, or related)

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered. 

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$104,400 - $174,000
