Your day to day:
As a 2nd Line Operation Engineer, you will be responsible for operating and supporting IPTV/VTV services and platforms across multiple European markets. You will work closely with the monitoring department (1st Line Operations) to solve technical issues and key interface for engineering teams for projects and new service deployments to ensure the smooth functioning of our TV services.
With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues in the IPTV / VTV production environments, providing top notch support for our customers.
- Performs emergency configuration actions in order to solve issues raised after the deployment of changes or during incidents impacting the IPTV / VTV infrastructure.
- Coordinates integration/acceptance testing for new network elements in the IPTV / VTV infrastructure.
- Collaborate with vendors and equipment suppliers, maintaining effective technical interfaces to resolve issues and address service-related concerns.
- Analyse performance indicators and metrics of IPTV services and platforms to proactively identify areas for improvement and optimize system performance
With these skills you are a great candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology) or equivalent practical experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in IT System Administration / Linux Administration /Telecommunication area,
- 1-2 years of experience in operations and support of AV-Pipe / CDN and Origin platforms /VSPP/FCC/RET
- Advanced Linux / Streaming / CDN technologies knowledge
- Advanced knowledge related to IPTV / OTT concepts and equipment.
