The Security Scrum Master will work in agile environment as a scrum master leading cross-functional development team working collaboratively to develop and launch cybersecurity product that fulfils Vodafone customer needs

Scrum master will plan, direct and coordinate tasks through agile methodology principles and practices to manage the Security Portfolio projects aligned to the roadmap including E2E product and service launches.

Scrum master will be accountable for delivering and interfacing to internal suppliers, external partners, OpCo’s and the Vodafone Business stakeholder teams. 

Main areas of focus include the effective delivery of plans relating to market expansion, channel development, portfolio extension and go to market deliverables. 

Scrum master is accountable for determining and managing, tasks, issues, risks, action items, and ensuring that all the project deliverables are met on time with high visibility on project economics that include project costs, budgets, staffing requirements.

Ensuring that the projects are managed to realise business benefits, that are reflected up through operational costs to Vodafone and that the programme management is informed by an awareness of current technical developments.

Accountable for ensuring that the project and their component parts adhere to the mandated Vodafone best practice methodology and processes. Engage with and seek improvements to processes at all times. Ensure all programme team members are following methodology and processes. Provide leadership & contribution to all Vodafone Process & Methodology discussions/workshops that affect management of programmes.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 

  • Planning and facilitating agile events; daily stand-ups, iteration planning, iteration review and iteration retrospective. 
  • Accountable for project scope and timelines in iterative model, identifying the resources required for each iteration, manage interdependencies, milestones that the business need to do to prepare for new technical or business components. 
  • Accountable for the delivery of the project interfacing to internal suppliers, external partners, OpCo’s and the Vodafone Business stakeholder teams.
  • Ensuring the proper use of collaborative processes and removing implements for the scrum team. 
  • Ensure that the project delivery adheres to the mandated Vodafone best practice methodology and processes. 

Ensure all programme team members are following methodology and processes. 

Team Coaching and Development

  • Coaching the agile team, and help building productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and deliver maximum value. 
  • Facilitate service evaluations to ensure the delivery of excellent standards ensuring the achievement of objectives.
  • Facilitate Retrospectives outputs driven from a Lean Agile mindset that should include relentless improvement and Innovation
  • Ensure all team members adhere to all Iterations goals and the sprint outcomes via Velocity Charts and Sprint Reports
  • Guides the team and helps to understand how to estimate/size Features and Capabilities.

Team Support

  • Organise and facilitate Team, OpCo’s and Partner Meetings and provide feedback to Portfolio Leads.

Customer Support

  • Ensure the delivery of the customer experience to customers in accordance with current Vodafone standards through regular sessions.
  • Be a point of contact in the handling of customer queries and complaints to the point of resolution.
  • Maintain an up-to-date team knowledge of Cyber Security Value Added services Portfolio products and services. 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Thorough knowledge of and experience of working in structured and/or Agile Project Management environment
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver benefits to timescales
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Experience and understanding of Security, Digital Marketplaces, telecoms industry
  • Management of internal and third-party resources (including offshore)
  • Stakeholder management and communications skills
  • Experience of working in complex, global matrix environment
  • Balances multiple work streams, work to tight deadlines and remain cool under pressure / Advanced Time management skills.
  • Excellent ability to influence and motivate teams

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

  • +6 Years PM Experience (Waterfall / Agile / Hybrid)
  • Agile Methodology
  • APM/PMI qualifications
  • Structured Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2)
  • +2 years People Management experience
  • Cybersecurity expertise – particularly managed services
  • CISMP (Certificate in Information Security Management Principles)
