Why is this role really critical to us? 

Responsible for driving execution of key projects and procurement of Marketing Management. The role requires excellent communication skills in order to manage critical parties, vendors and partners, which directly and indirectly touches to customer. Also in all levels of management including Head, Senior Management and C-level.

The role needs expertise in all procurement projects/deals, partner and 3rd party management of the Company.

Expertise in Marketing categories such as Creative and other both ATL and BTL Agencies, Production Houses, Celebrities, Market Research, and other related categories and manage the procurement activities in line with technical specifications, from foreign and local markets, managing the planned budget by analysing the necessity of items/services required, working with internal stakeholders, Vodafone Procurement Company (VPC) based in Luxembourg. Also obtaining highest value add is very critical for this category. 

Also, working with the VPC Category team to gather requirements to ensure that the OpCo’s views are considered during Strategy development and represent the OpCo as required in subsequent negotiations. 

How will you spend your time at Vodafone?

  • Shared responsibility for managing related category spend relating to entire Commercial and Services team
  • Responsible for leadership of a team, ensuring collective and individual accountability, success and manage the budget process associated with the team using proven leaderships skills, to develop individuals.
  • Strategic stakeholder management – internal & external; working with a range of stakeholders and suppliers in-market to group functions and at a senior level within Vodafone and the supplier
  • Work as part of the team to execute global category procurement strategies including innovative commercial modelling
  • Drive change management, leveraging support functions to add value to the end to end supply chain process
  • Management of multiple business requirements through to a speedy resolution whilst delivering optimal business results & ensuring compliance to policy.
  • Manages internal audiences and external partners/vendors to ensure understanding of the Function identity. 
  • Builds strong relations and works closely with relevant departments (e.g. Consumer Business Units (CBU), Vodafone Business Units (VBU), Corporate Communication and HR etc.) on propositions;
  • Uses advanced analytical thought to ensure end to end procurement best practice is utilised within the team, beyond the team and guides stakeholders on best approach;
  • Accountable for management of mainly procurement processes of Brand Team and other Vodafone Business Unit requirements.
  • Leads and owns Local relationship with VPC&Global Key Category Suppliers 
  • Accountable for inputting into and delivering savings targets 
  • Accountable for inputting into min. 5 years category strategy to optimise total cost of ownership for Vodafone, and support Marketing Management and other responsible businesses. 
  • Management of relations with VPC (Vodafone Procurement Company) in related category Management 
  • Support the stakeholders with recommendations on supplier selection, definition of the appropriate commercial framework, and sourcing approach for related categories.
  • Ensure the processes in line with the Procurement Policy 
  • Execute PO management in the EVO system
  • Perform benchmarking activities using internal and external data with local and global studies.
  • Analyse internal costs, perform make or buy analysis and work closely with financial decision support team
  • Track order status and manage claims
  • Initiate and manage cost reduction activities and projects with an overall vision and cross functional communication on Marketing and Media area. 
  • Manage all the coordination between Supplier, stakeholders and VPC (commercial, technical, legal) during the tender process in local and global tenders.
  • Supporting VPC for B2B PO processes and execute the related orders on time

You are just the person we’ve been looking for, if you have:

  • Min 5 years experience in Supply Chain activities with past experience in Vodafone and other companies.
  • Advanced English in writing, speaking and listening.
  • Prioritise and pro-actively manage not only personal but also team workload with required supervise and in an effective way of working
  • Leverage Category intelligence to improve Vodafone’s commercial position and become the recognised expert within Vodafone
  • Develop an effective way of working by having an overall SCM vision and strategies. 
  • Build positive working relationships inside and outside the department, locally and globally.
