Job description

The Recruitment Planning and Reporting Manager is an exciting new role within the newly formed Recruitment Excellence Team in Unity Business Services (UBS).

The role combines a blend of analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to think creatively.

The individual will be responsible for the forecasting, reporting and assurance of recruitment activity within HMRC. You will work closely with stakeholders across HMRC to gather intelligence on upcoming recruitment, utilising this to create accurate recruitment plans and forecasts.

Person specification

Roles and responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

  • Creation and maintenance of PowerBI dashboards that demonstrate HMRC recruitment plans.
  • Formation of HMRC business area forecasts, working alongside a variety of stakeholders to establish recruitment volumes and using information to resource plan and assess UBS performance.
  • Development of monthly reporting packs, sharing UBS Key Performance Indications with key stakeholders.
  • Analysing data to continuously improve, with a focus on reducing time to hire and increasing candidate experience.
  • Regular liaison with key stakeholders, with the ability to communicate and articulate complex information in a simple and engaging manner.
  • Supporting the wider recruitment team with operational delivery tasks.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience of manipulating large and complex data sets and using this data to identify and communicate key messages.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience of building and maintaining PowerBI dashboards.
  • Experience of analysing data/forecasts to manage resource and support planning and performance across a large operational area.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships at a variety of levels across the organisation.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to be proactive and work independently to ensure outputs are delivered as required.
