Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Security Operations and Process Excellence, this role will lead a portfolio of physical security risk management and technology programs and projects set within the Security Quality department of NBCU Global Security. The Director must have deep knowledge and experience in leading a diverse swath of physical security programs, along with excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills. This role will use these skills to set strategy and expectations for their team as they maintain a structured roadmap that is optimized to complete projects ahead of established deadlines, and to accurately predict shifts in technology & risk that allow the company to continually make proactive decisions that better safeguard NBCUniversal’s personnel and assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all Global Security programs, projects, and work streams related to technology and risk management by ensuring they are well-structured, planned, and resourced.
  • Support the Global Security department enterprise-wide by setting strategy and developing technology-forward solutions that will improve security operations and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Evaluate and improve the existing procedures to source, identify, implement, maintain and enhance security technology systems by applying personal knowledge and leveraging internal and external partnerships.
  • Continually enhance the existing Risk Management and Security Incident and Event Management programs and the associated technology platforms.
  • Champion continuous improvement within Global Security by building and implementing effective and sustainable processes that will align security actions across the enterprise.
  • Supervise the day-to-day functions and tasking of personnel assigned to Global Security technology and risk management projects and programs.
  • Develop and lead Security Quality meetings and presentations appropriate for operational and executive-level audiences.
  • Ensure an exceptionally high level of quality for the support and training provided to end users of the NBCU Physical Security Risk Management program and our portfolio of Global Security technologies.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Project Management, Information Systems or Technology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience managing enterprise-level projects and programs with geographically dispersed stakeholders, preferably related to physical security risk and/or technologies
  • Excellent partnership-building and communications skills, especially the ability to effectively communicate technical project management to non-technical audiences
  • Significant experience effectively managing and developing talent on a team with diverse skillsets and capabilities
  • Strong ability to coordinate, build, and lead polished presentations to a broad swath of stakeholders
  • Ambitious problem solver with the ability to self-identify issues and propose novel solutions
  • Consistently positive attitude and a mindset oriented towards customer service and partnership
  • Experienced with project management software and the application of project management principles (both agile and traditional approaches)
  • Working understanding of the theory and application of Risk Management principles
  • Foundational understanding of Physical Security operations and terminology
  • This position is hybrid and must be willing to live/work in the greater Los Angeles area
  • Travel up to 10%

Desired Characteristics:

  • PMP highly desired, additional Scrum Master or Agile certifications preferred
  • Physical Security certifications a plus (CPP, PSP, etc.)
  • Risk Management certifications a plus (RIMS-CRMP, CRMP, ARM, etc.)
  • Expertise in the oversight of an Incident Management System; specific and substantial experience with D3 SIEM System
  • Expertise in the oversight of a Risk Management platform; specific and substantial experience with LogicGate would be a significant plus
  • Experience implementing new tools and technologies for physical security

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $125,000 - $150,000 (bonus eligible)
