Job Description

Under the responsibility of the Light Industry VP Sales, the incumbent is directly involved in the sales activities in the light industry sector for utilities, “process” water (ingredient, pure water, WFI...) and wastewater treatment solutions in Ontario. The person will work closely with the various stakeholders (industrials, consulting engineers, contractors, etc.) to promote and sell VWT technological capital offers in all the light industry submarkets.

  • Responsible for promoting and selling all Veolia Water Technologies Inc.'s Ontario.
  • o The LI market includes the following most significant sub-markets (not exhaustive list): F&B, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing;
  • o VWT solutions and equipment cover the utilities, “process” water and wastewater treatment applications;
  • o The scope is centered on capital sales but will include bundling with VWT services.
  • Manages all sales activities within his/her territory & market, including prospection, commercial development of leads/prospects, definition of bids strategy, supervision of bids preparation, and negotiation & closing of deals.
  • Actively follows-up on his/her bids in order to maximize the chances to convert bids into orders;
  • Updates sales database (SalesForce), prepares sales forecasts, while keeping abreast of key projects and accounts;
  • Grows, on a continuous basis, his/her knowledge of the market on his/her territory and develops and maintains good business relationships;
  • Works in collaboration with the other commercial departments of the company on identifying and developing common opportunities;
  • Participates in all business development activities in the LI market (clients’ workshops, Lunch & Learn, industry congresses & conferences, etc.);
  • Analyzes and actively communicates to his/her VP information about his/her market;
  • Develops, in collaboration with his/her VP, the overall commercial development strategy of the company in his/her territory & market, and the positioning of the company;
  • Follows Compliance / Health & Safety / Quality procedures of VWT in the course of his/her responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree related to the job requirements;
  • A minimum of five years of experience in water treatment sales;
  • Knowledge of sales in the industrial environment;
  • Knowledge of water treatment processes (both “clean” water and wastewater);
  • Must have sales proven competencies;
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of the marketing of equipment dedicated to water treatment;
  • Must be able to establish relationships easily with a very strong listening ability;
  • Ability to develop and present technical reports, proposals and PowerPoint documents;
  • Must have exemplary communication skills (oral and written) in English. Must have ease in presentation to groups of various sizes;
  • Must be organized, problem solver and self-directed;
  • Must be self-sufficient and have a good sense of organization and planning of work (rigor and method);
  • Computer skills GSuite or similar;
  • Knowledge of CRM computer systems.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
