What you’ll do

Based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, you will be part of the Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines (SIMP) HR Center of Excellence (CoE) team, taking a leading role in the Talent & Development (T&D) agenda for Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as contributing to regional and global T&D projects. You will connect the dots between talent acquisition, leadership development, succession management, inclusion & diversity, and strategic workforce plans to optimize the integrated talent management ecosystem and create holistic T&D strategies in partnership with HRBPs and business leaders.

  • Acting as an internal consultant, assess and diagnose learning and training opportunities to ensure employees have access to a range of individual development solutions to address their needs. This may include team effectiveness, team engagement, change management, cultural change, and innovation.
  • Leverage internal centre of expertise tools, programs and resources and adapt for local applicability
  • Design and deliver people development resources and programs that address priority group development needs
  • Manage the learning budget, including all related processes
  • Prepare business units for and facilitate an outcomes-focused talent review, as well as translate talent review outcomes into innovative talent and development strategies and interventions that build business critical role pipeline strength and retention of high- potential professionals
  • Implement best practice solutions to identify potential and accelerate succession candidate readiness using objective and reliable mechanisms such as assessments, psychometrics, development centres.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and T&D CoE to share talent data and insights that enable internal growth and vacancy fills, including graduate schemes
  • Align and engage teams in a vision, work with and through others to accomplish a goal and measure outcomes to tell a compelling talent story, inspiring commitment and behavior change.

Essential for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in diagnosing, designing and delivering T&D interventions in a CoE or HR business partnering role
  • Ability to identify potential, accelerate development of critical capabilities through targeted interventions and mobilize talent across the readiness spectrum for the benefit of growth and development
  • Ability to express complex ideas and strategies in clear and compelling ways to multiple stakeholder groups leveraging data and business insights
  • Ability to spot future opportunities in talent, create a compelling vision, inspire commitment and optimize performance in direct and matrixed teams

Desirable for the role

  • Master’s or qualification in talent management and/or learning and development related field
  • Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech or shared services
  • Knowledge and application in using learning management systems
