Job Overview:

The Manager, Analytic Solutions is a key member of Macy’s Digital-Marketing Analytics platform and solutions organization, with responsibilities for managing analytics solutions, business, data quality analysts and relationship with business stakeholders. The Manager will interact with marketing leadership and end users to understand business strategy and provide efficient analytics solutions to support business operation and growth. The manager will be responsible for partnering with technology teams, external solution providers, analytics and various business functions. In this hands-on management role, the manager will also have ownership and accountability for data quality, improvements and user support of the analytics and BI solutions. 

For this key role, we are seeking self-driven individual with proven experience in hands on data analysis, delivering analytics solutions, identifying new opportunities with systems and processes improvements; communicating and ensuring cross-project work effort supports the overall vision and strategy. This individual must demonstrate leadership, strategy vision, technical expertise, and strong communication capabilities needed to achieve cross-functional alignments necessary to deliver solutions, guide and mentor solutions team members. 

This role reports to Director, Analytic Platform and Solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Delivery of Analytics and BI solutions, including leading functional requirements and data/product quality.
  • Under leadership guidance, establish analytics solutions roadmap and priorities
  • Manage and mentor business systems analysts, Quality assurance analysts (QA) and define processes for requirement gathering, communication and validating data quality.
  • Partner up with development manager and utilize self-technical expertise to come up with best implementation design and development approach for analytics solution.
  • Evaluating existing capabilities, processes and technology gaps.
  • Anticipate upstream and downstream project impacts.
  • As needed, at the project level, coordinate team efforts and activities between internal technology teams, vendors and internal/external business partners.
  • Work with internal business and technical groups to successfully rollout new capabilities to the end-users.
  • Accountable for continues business operations, issue resolution and end user support.
  • Establish analytics platform vision, strategy, roadmap and transformation to cloud capabilities.
  • Ensures that Macy’s customer and marketing experience is effective and best-in-class through marketing technology capabilities.
  • Envisioning, leading marketing technology capabilities and developing cohesive product roadmaps in support of Macys marketing organization and other stakeholders.
  • Provide solution leadership. Identify unmet customer needs and develop possible feature/functionality concepts that meet those needs. 
  • Drive relationships with Executives and business-function sponsors, understanding their objectives, and establishing trust and dialogue on how to support those. 
  • Partner with key business stakeholders and business user teams to provide trusted thought leadership. Drive collaboration and accomplish global product and systems development. 
  • Assist business stakeholders in prioritizing project work, articulate clear prioritization and business justification to engineering teams and convey IT constraints and dependencies to business users.
  • Work with enterprise data governance establishing data management strategy across external and internal sources

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: 

  • We encourage candidates with either a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply.
  • Experience managing and developing teams within large scale enterprise setting. 
  • Hands-on experience with writing SQL for analyzing and extracting data. 
  • Proven competence with development methodologies, business process management, QA fundamentals, process documentation and project management.
