People (HR) Business Partner

Strive is seeking an HR Business Partner to support its ongoing growth. Reporting to the Director, People Business Partners, this role will support many of Strive’s market and central Operations functions from a people strategy and organizational effectiveness perspective, while also providing support to other corporate areas and enterprise initiatives. Hyper-growth brings unique and interesting challenges, and this role will be on point to ensure we scale people, processes, and develop management capability effectively in a quickly evolving model. We’re looking for an ambitious individual with a passion for building culture-focused leadership, doing what is right, even when unpopular, and supporting the team through rapid growth. The right candidate will be a trusted partner to our business leaders and their teams, advising and coaching on all aspects of our people strategy: talent density, leadership depth, culture & engagement, and organizational effectiveness. 

Essential Functions

  • Build and cultivate strong partnerships with senior leaders across Strive.
  • Gain a deep understanding of Strive’s business and its unique operations and needs to provide a consultative approach to senior leaders.
  • Partner with leaders to define and execute on the organizational and people-related strategy to ensure a motivated, engaged workforce.
  • Advise, guide and coach senior leaders to navigate the complexities of managing teams, managing career development, developing a high-performance culture, and executing on the organization’s people strategy.
  • Take initiative to regularly analyze people trends to anticipate future challenges. 
  • Partner with People Analytics to analyze and present relevant metrics and insights to the business to guide the focus and execution of strategy.
  • Support the business with organizational change and development, influencing leaders to address complex organizational design issues where required for business success as Strive scales.
  • Provide candid feedback to support decision making on talent moves, gaps, promotions, and growth opportunities through a lens of diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Partner and provide feedback to Talent Development team on leadership development and succession planning initiatives including leadership competency development, manager and employee trainings, performance management processes, and Talent Review.
  • Work with Manager, People Operations to advise on strategies to address people relations issues, fairly representing all interests.
  • Act as a liaison between the business and People team to ensure that policies and programs are aligned with internal client needs.
  • Collaborate with People Operations, Talent Development, and Talent Acquisition to ensure Striver related programs support the business in executing against its goals e.g. performance
  • Play a key leadership role within Strive’s People team, serving as an active partner to all areas (Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, People Operations) while also supporting the evolution of the HR Business Partnering function within Strive.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent focused studies/certifications in HR or HR Business Partnering
  • 4+ years of experience as an HRBP, in Talent Management, or equivalent, in roles of increasing complexity and scope.
  • 4+ years’ experience advising/consulting people managers on HR processes, especially hands-on experience in management/leadership development, performance management, change management and organizational design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accredited HR certification preferred ie: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
  • Passion for Strive’s mission to deliver compassionate kidney care the way it should be done, demonstrating a strong understanding of complex business operations and the unique HR issues that arise

  • Previous experience working in a high-growth environment, adept at leading and managing change.
  • Analytical mindset, focused on building, implementing and tracking the success of companywide People programs

  • A self-starter with a proven ability to operate at a tactical and strategic level.
  • Operates with a high degree of integrity and trust, ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Annual Salary Range: $86,000.00-$104,000.00
