Digital Marketing Strategist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Strategist, reporting to the Director of Marketing, supports development and execution of marketing strategies throughout the Veit enterprise by evaluating and implementing improvements in digital marketing efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Research the latest digital tools and interactive trends, establishing best practices for the organization in alignment with Marketing team.
  • Propose integrated and cost-effective digital strategies, including social targets, paid ads, Google Analytics/Google AdWords, etc.
  • Research and write copy on a variety of topics related to our company's industry for usage in websites, emails, social media, and other digital channels.
  • Analyze and report on performance indicators and customer/user data to pinpoint potential areas of opportunity and maximize campaigns.
  • Map out how digital assets will be optimized for business results and drive value for the organization.
  • Carry out keyword research and create focused SEO tactics.
  • Design digital assets such as website pages, banner advertisements, social media postings, and email templates, or supervise their design.
  • Manage display advertising, paid search campaigns, and other paid media activities.
  • Assists the business development and talent acquisition teams in creating effective marketing and recruitment campaigns utilizing digital communication.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, communication science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 -5 years relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Firm grasp of emerging digital tools.
  • Thorough understanding of digital touchpoints.
  • Solid knowledge of web analytics tools like Google Analytics.
  • Familiarity with web design and HTML (particularly Wordpress)
  • Demonstrable experience with SEO/SEM and CRM software.
  • Experience implementing and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
  • Hands on experience with online marketing tools and practices
  • Possess broad knowledge of digital best-practices.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred.
  • Experience with photography & videography preferred.

OTHER

  • Requires 8-hour workdays, Monday – Friday.
  • Minimal travel up to 10% to jobsites and to Veit-sponsored events.
  • This position is based on site in Rogers, MN. Remote work may be available after training is complete (approximately 3 months).

Additional functions include stand and/or sit in a stationary position for extended periods of time; 50%+, use a computer/laptop in an office environment with natural and/or fluorescent lighting, navigate between office building floors, attend off-site meetings on occasion, and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

Employee frequently works alone and with others. Most often in a typical office environment. Employee is rarely exposed to minimal to moderate noise levels on job sites.
