Mission

The Civil Construction Project Coordinator NIGHT SHIFT performs a wide range of tasks, assisting the office and site operations and management staff in the implementation of project agreements and plans, ensuring completion on time and within budget for the facilities and stations along the 14km project alignment. 

The Civil Construction Project Coordinator works independently or with limited supervision, applying knowledge and skills to resolve a variety of issues and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to achieve team goals along the project length and throughout the project lifecycle. They will plan, schedule, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of the project throughout its lifespan, normally under the direction of the Segment Manager. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE AVAILABLE TO WORK AFTERNOONS AND EVENINGS FOR THE DURATION OF THE 2024 CONSTRUCTION SEASON

Profile

Bachelorâs Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related fields OR trade certificate with equivalent related experience

⢠3+ years related work experience in the construction of civil infrastructure projects over $15M

⢠Light Industrial, Industrial or Transportation Facilities or public infrastructure experience considered an asset.

⢠Experience in LEED certified building projects and LEED GP or AP certification a definite plus.

⢠PMP, CET, P.Eng., or other credentials considered an asset

⢠Knowledge of ISO quality standards an asset

⢠Excellent English language written and verbal communications skills are essential

⢠Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, and specifications; comprehensive knowledge of current construction practices and methodology

⢠Able to read, interpret and work with multi-discipline drawings and reports.

⢠In-depth knowledge of construction management processes including project set-up, subcontract management, change orders, RFIs, lien holdbacks and closeout

⢠Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Bluebeam Revu.

⢠Working Knowledge of SharePoint, Rivet and P6 scheduling software would be an asset.

⢠You are a problem solver and continuously look for innovative solutions that can be utilized on projects.

⢠Ability to communicate clearly and respond to project stakeholder requests in typical situations; able to anticipate client and project needs and proactively identify solutions to nonstandard task/queries

⢠Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain and promote excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and the public

⢠Ability to prioritize competing demands for your time in a fast-paced work environment

⢠Commitment to excellence and high standards

⢠Able to manage priorities and workflow, and respond to urgent/ unplanned issues as required while ensuring deadlines are met

⢠Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks
