Responsibilities

The SIU Operations Analyst is responsible for identifying, understanding, interpreting, and analyzing data to support anti-fraud efforts.

  • Interpret and analyze complex data sets to support decision making and detecting potential fraudulent patterns and trends
  • Conducts data gathering using available tools and internal data warehouses
  • Create, summarize, and present analytic findings using data visualization link analysis tools
  • Works with various State Insurance Departments and Fraud Bureaus to complete mandatory annual compliance and fraud plans
  • Completes detailed monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports specific to SIU data tracking to provide to Claims and SIU leadership
  • Collaborates with multiple units across the enterprise by designing statistical/predictive models along with using algorithms to assist in detection of fraudulent activity
  • Completes review of triaged identified claims through fraud detection tools for assignment to SIU personnel
  • Act as a liaison with intelligence and analytic function with outside agencies or groups, whose mission includes detection and deterrence of insurance fraud
  • Collaborate with SIU Investigators regarding data identified as part of a major case to include plans of action
  • Extract and validate accuracy of data identified through multiple sources to ensure the information is related

Qualifications

  • Must have 3 or more years of prior analyst experience
  • Advanced knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, and RPA processes
  • Working knowledge of advanced visualization techniques using Tableau
  • Advanced knowledge creating link analysis diagrams and reports
  • Demonstrate knowledge of investigative methods in regards to laws, rules and regulations involving insurance fraud
  • Advanced analytical capability, data mining, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective speaking and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations and compliance requirements
  • Advanced capability with MS Office products
  • Easily adapts to new or changing situations and priorities
  • Ability to be flexible and multi-task
  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic with a positive attitude

Education Requirement

Bachelor’s Degree

Completion of one or more of the following designations: Certified Insurance Fraud Analyst (CIFA), Fraud Claims Law Specialist (FCLS)
