Purpose of Role

The EMEA Senior Manager of FP&A – Wholesale & Distributor will be a key member of this team reporting directly to the EMEA Snr. Director of FP&A. The role provides strategic and financial support for our EMEA Wholesale & Distributor business, over 70% of the total Region. The role manages the full P&L and partners with key commercial leaders across 50 customers and 10 countries as well as 10 distributor territories. 

The primary responsibilities include strategic support, long term and short-term planning, financial reporting, financial management, and target setting and tracking. The end result is achievement of short and long-term financial metrics and a balanced long-term customer plan aligned to broader EMEA strategy.

Management and development of 2 direct report; providing appropriate level of support and opportunities for teammate to grow and develop within EMEA team 

Your Impact

Financial Planning:

  • Responsible for Wholesale & Distributor Financial Planning cycles working across cross-functional group to ensure accurate forecasting of revenue, margin, and SGA
  • Work with Snr. Director of FP&A and regional leadership team to develop long range strategic plan for wholesale & distributor channel; ensuring financial plan reflects regional and channel strategy across key European markets
  • Manage the quarterly forecast submissions as well as the in-month latest estimate updates, focused on account and country plans; interprets outlook and advises management on risk and opportunities.
  • Customer facing interaction and alignment to financial targets

Business Analytics:

  • Provide financial leadership, P&L management, and strategic support for EMEA wholesale teams.
  • Interpret, analyze, and review financial results and KPIs to provide recommendations, ensure accountability and drive performance
  • Management and performance reporting; giving business updates on performance and outlining and defining actions
  • Financial and Strategic business support – interaction with cross functional customer teams including 3 global accounts (JD, SDI, Foot Locker); education and evaluation of business results and development of growth initiatives.
  • To provide financial & decision support for new business opportunities, enhancing business efficiency. This includes Contractual Negotiations, Pricing and Margin Analysis (Price/Mix/Volume)

Investment Analytics:

  • Complete ROI and capital asset requests supporting key investments for the channel
  • Conduct channel / country ROI assessments to ensure capital is invested in highest return opportunities
  • Track sell-out performance and post investment analytics to support decision making
  • Support business development initiatives (e.g. product launches, entrance to new distribution and markets, etc.) through strategic analysis, investment optimization analytics, valuation, and financial due diligence
  • Ad hoc business development and financial support of new business ideas (Enterprise Business, Sales Agency model, ROI on request for capital spend)

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required.
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A or Accounting.
  • P&L ownership and influence
  • Team player with demonstrated ability to lead and influence others outside of their direct-reporting lines.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and articulate ideas, financial results, and actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, willingness to "do what it takes" to get the job done-done-done, and commitment to challenging the status-quo to make things better.
  • Expertise in Excel, financial modeling, cash flow valuation, scenario/sensitivity analysis, and ROI, NPV, and IRR analyses.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
  • Return to Work Designation: minimum 2 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.
