The Resorts Revenue Management Team is seeking someone who is passionate about delivering quality results, has a positive attitude, strong technical skills, and a willingness to learn. We have the chance to manage a demand forecast and leverage different tools to optimize hotel rates and occupancy. We are responsible for a set of Walt Disney World Resorts and partner with Forecasting, Pricing, Central Inventory Management, Resort Operations, Disney Vacation Club, and other teams to improve hotel revenue. In this role, you will report to the Sr Manager-Revenue Management.

What You Will Do

  • Assist the Senior Manager in leading and developing the team with a goal of maximizing overall onsite profitability
  • As needed, independently manage the demand forecast and optimization through the hotel revenue management system for select resorts while mentoring other members of the team to grow understanding of the systems and the science of RM
  • Have a solid understanding of revenue management systems, concepts, and tools, but also be able to independently perform advanced ad-hoc analyses that influence key business decisions
  • Drive the team toward the delivery of actionable resort yield strategies that align with the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts Commercial goals
  • Guide and develop the analytical strategies and capabilities of a dynamic group of analysts that help shape the company’s strategic decisions
  • Understand demand driving tactics, market trends, and external factors to ensure optimal selling strategies are in place
  • Leverage data visualization techniques and communication skills to represent complex ad-hoc analytical findings in clear business terms that facilitate acceptance and execution by business partners and senior executives
  • Demonstrate a proficiency in data mining and manipulation of large, complex data sources using various mediums (eg Snowflake, Python, SAS, etc). as well as a proficiency in building a wide array of tools for the team using advanced data visualization software (eg Tableau)
  • Be a champion of change to continuously improve Revenue Management processes and tools with a constant focus on driving revenue growth
  • Serve as the business user expert when partnering with the Technology organization to drive new projects, maintain accurate data feeds and support system integrity and issue resolution
  • Partner with Pricing, Forecasting, Commercial Strategy, Marketing, and Sales to ensure awareness of resort yielding decisions to support efficient processes across all teams
  • Create a culture of positivity, excellence and inclusion through transparency and authentic leadership

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in business analysis/strategy
  • Experience with revenue management concepts (e.g., dilution, displacement, etc.)
  • Proven ability to inspire, drive enthusiasm and build consensus with a commitment to results
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and adjust to a rapidly changing business environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to confidently make decisions under ambiguous circumstances
  • Proven track record with establishing relationships, trust and credibility as well as following through on decisions
  • Ability to simplify sophisticated data into metrics and recommendations that are easily understood and actionable
  • Proficiency with analytical techniques, tools, software, technology solutions and their application to complex business challenges and opportunities

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics related field, or combination equivalent work experience
  • Master’s Degree in Analytics related field preferred
