Summary

Broadway.com is seeking a talented individual to operate in the dual roles of photographer and photo editor, working closely with our editorial and video production teams to bring vibrant imagery to life on various content platforms.

Ideal candidate will be highly organized, with strong attention to detail, and have a strong visual style. In addition to organizing and sourcing photos, they will assist in researching and creating layouts that tell readers and viewers intriguing stories.

In addition, candidate will have the opportunity to work as news, red carpet, on location and studio photographer in many different environments. Please submit a portfolio of your work for consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities

Photo Editing

  • Edit and enhance photographs to meet the website's visual standards and maintain a consistent aesthetic.
  • Retouch images to ensure high quality, color accuracy, and overall visual appeal.

Photography

  • Capture high-quality, engaging photographs for a variety of content, including news, events, on location and in studio.

Content Planning

  • Collaborate with the editorial team to plan and execute visual content strategies.
  • Assist in the development of creative concepts for photoshoots and visual storytelling.

Digital Asset Management

  • Organize, catalog, and maintain a comprehensive and accessible digital library of edited and raw images.
  • Implement efficient systems for tracking and retrieving visual assets for various content needs.

Adherence to Deadlines

  • Manage and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines for photo editing and content creation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely delivery of visual content.

Competencies/Qualifications

  • Proficient in photo editing software and a strong understanding of digital photography techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education/ Experience

  • Experience as a photo editor and photographer, preferably in the entertainment industry.
