Microsoft Edge team is looking for a product manager passionate about the web and open source projects. 

Microsoft Edge represents a great growth opportunity for the company. We adopted the Chromium open-source project to be the browser engine of Microsoft Edge because of its world-class web compatibility and robust open-source community. 

We are now on a journey to help satisfy unmet customer needs while contributing to the Chromium project in a way that helps us move the broader web forward. 

As a Product Manager on the Microsoft Edge Web Platform team, you will work closely with external and internal web platform experts to further the web platform. You will also work closely with web developers to deeply understand their unmet needs. Using these learnings, you will define metrics for success that tie back to developer outcomes; prototype and test solutions with your engineering team; and iterate frequently while you ship/evangelize new solutions and measure their success. You will work with browser engineers and web experts around the world to make the web better for everyone through your involvement in various web standards bodies.

Responsibilities  

As a Product Manger on this team, you will:  

  • Drive research and analysis of web developer unmet needs and define product/web platform changes in close partnership with the engineering team.  
  • Collaborate with other browser vendors to understand and advance the web platform. 
  • Work with web standardization bodies to define and evolve the web platform and its components.  
  • Communicate effectively with the web developer community in-person and at scale.  
  • Lead and actively stay engaged in open-source efforts.  

Required Qualifications:  

  • 4+ years of related product development experience shipping multiple software products.
  • Experience contributing to open source projects or experience as a web developer. 
  • BS/MS/MBA from an accredited university.

  • Well-rounded; projects often require core product management skills in addition to technical skills. Able to discuss technical topics in detail with different audiences.
