The NASDAQ Global Vulnerability Management team is looking for a passionate team member responsible for proactively identifying and managing the remediation of vulnerabilities affecting NASDAQ infrastructure and services to join the Bangalore technology center in India. The vulnerability management team detects security vulnerabilities across Nasdaq, from our core products to our corporate networks and everything in on our on-prem and cloud environment. We combine a blend of open source, custom developed and commercial tooling to deliver a unified view of our security exposure. This Senior Specialist will own the consumption, visualization, and analysis of signals from these tools to follow up on vulnerabilities and identity top security threats.

This position is ideal for someone with a background in data engineering who has both a passion for information security and the ability to sort through and optimize big data to derive useful cases for alerting, reporting, and prioritization. Your role and responsibilities:

This Information Security Senior Specialist will own the consumption, visualization, and analysis of signals from these tools to follow up on vulnerabilities and identity top security threats. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

Furthermore, you will: 

  • Managing the end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle from discovery to closure. Supervising and monitoring vulnerabilities with various different stakeholders within the organization with the most effective approach
  • Manage and maintain data pipelines that consume asset and security data sources from teams across the company
  • Own the structure, design and vision of our vulnerability management database 
  • Build processes and reporting to enforce policies, raise awareness, drive change, and prioritize efforts. Building dashboards in business intelligence tools for metrics and statistics
  • Engage with various teams to provide relevant, actionable data for vulnerability remediation, configuration issues, supervise SLA of findings and more 
  • Collaborate and coordinate with multiple technical functions in the areas of infrastructure, technical operations, software engineering and security 
  • Contributing to the strategic direction for vulnerability management and security testing capabilities at NASDAQ.
  • Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of the threat landscape and emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.

We expect you to have:

  • At least 8+yrs of experience in the Information Security domain with 3-5 years experience and working with data engineering
  • 3+ years’ experience with SQL including proficiency in at least one programming language/ scripting language (C#, Java, Python, PowerShell, Ruby, etc.) 
  • Experience in data modeling, visualization and data quality 
  • Outstanding detail-oriented interpersonal skills and a strong self-starter 
  • Strong sense of ownership, bias for action, and drive IT, Info Security & Business Operations 
  • Strong analytical skills and eagerness to work on various security projects.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization, across diverse cultural and linguistic barriers, and as part of a geographically distributed team.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and work independently with minimal direction

Education Qualification: Bachelor/Master in computer science. 

It would be great if you

  • 2+ years developing automation tools, RESTful web services, or APIs 
  • Previous experience working in an information security team OR Some experience managing vulnerability management and security testing for cloud services (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is preferred.
  • Good to have exposure on any cloud platform preferably AWS.
